Only Frames can contain menu bars or pull-down menus. My answer is true but the given answer is false. Please confirm the answer. Why? Thank you...

Jerson, Only Frames can contain menu bars or pull-down menus. The answer given as 'false' is correct. Because menu bars are attached to ONLY frames. But pull-down menus can be attached to menuBar or another pulldown menu. Refer to the API doc. For Menu .add(MenuItem item) is there. Since 'Menu' is also a 'MenuItem' we can always create sub-menus under another menu. If the qstn would have been ONLY the 1st half Only frams can contain menuBars then I think what you say is correct. regds maha anna

Hi Don't worry about the pull down menus. IMO they are not included in the objective of the SCJP. At least I never saw a question in any of respected mock exams
