Projects
  • On-line Resource (Employees) Management System

Developed an on-line resource management system using a three-tier architecture, employing Servlets, Java Server Pages and JDBC. This application is meant to be used to create, maintain and report consulting resources deployed nationwide for an IT Consulting Services company. Connection pooling was used for efficient connectivity of multiple concurrent users. MySQL database was used as the back-end database.

Some of the features of this application include login authentication, multiple levels of users access, intuitive user interface ,flexible report generation (MS-EXCEL or HTML formats).

The components of this web application include Servlets (Tot # 6), JSPs (Tot # 29), Java Beans - (Total # 28), Utility Java classes - (Tot # 8), MYSQL Data Base, Apache's Tomcat 3.1 Servlet Container and Jakartha's 'Ant' Application Build Tool. Worked as Senior Software Engineer for Digicon (India) Private Limited, Chennai, India (3 years). Responsibilities included design, development, and testing of communication software using C, for clients such as Citibank. Involved in 16 projects, mainly in design and development phases. Led a team of 8 people.
  • Associate Engineer

Associate Engineer for WTI Advanced Technology, Coonoor, India for 1 year. Underwent C language training, developed a Restaurant Information System, a Data Compression Tool and tested other company products.
